Wolves v Tottenham, Sunday 6th March, 4.00 kick off, Molineux
With another Premiership weekend looming will there be another shock on the cards at Molineux on Sunday?
Both sides are involved in scraps at opposite ends of the table and three points at Molineux could prove vital to the future of either side with just ten games to go. Wolves come into the game on a high after a great performance last week against Blackpool, winning 4-0. Saturday was the first time this season the midlands side have completely torn a side apart and – even with the help of a sending off – they looked solid and creative in equal measure.
As part of the loan agreement with Tottenham, Jamie O’Hara will not be playing for Wolves, and he will definitely be missed. While Wanderers are still in the bottom three, their home form has been their savour with four wins in their last six home games including some big upsets. Last week saw them take vital points in the relegation battle and they drew Blackpool into the fight as well. Only a point from the relative safety of West Brom in 17th, Mick McCarthy will be more than eager to get a decent run together that could mean his side playing Premier League football next season.
Tottenham will be looking to improve on their 3-1 loss at Blackpool two weeks ago. They didn’t play last week slipped to 5th in the race for a Champions League place.
Tottenham’s away form hasn’t been great in recent weeks with three wins in their last six games and will be looking for goals. As such the game could be a high scoring affair with both sides only keeping nine clean sheets all season between them. You can back over 2.5 goals at best odds of 21/20 with Totesport, which is definitely worth considering, especially if you take advantage of the £10 Free Bet on offer if you don’t already have an account with them.
Both sides will be watching Saturday’s games and hoping that other sides can do them a favour. My prediction for the game is for a Wolves win as they really played with confidence last week and they realise how important three points is on Sunday.
Tottenham will have to keep Wolves tight in midfield to overcome a battling side, but I tip McCarthy’s men to do the business.
