Real Madrid v Barcelona Betting Tips – La Liga, Saturday 25th October 2014, kick off 17.00
Two of the greatest sides on the planet battle it out in the first El Clasico of the season as Real Madrid host Barcelona in Spain’s capital on Saturday. And just to add a little bit of extra spice to this already exciting fixture, Uruguayan bad boy Luis Suarez could make his debut for Barca after serving his latest biting ban.
With so much attacking talent available to the two managers, it is no surprise Saturday’s game has piqued the interest of football fans from all corners of the globe. Real’s boss Carlo Ancelotti can call upon the sublime skills, power and speed of Cristiano Ronaldo, with Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema also adding attacking potency. While Barca’s Luis Enrique has the mercurial Lionel Messi at his disposal, along with wunderkind Neymar and the aforementioned Suarez.
So which side will come out on top in this one? That the question we aim to answer right here, right now… well, after we’ve taken a look at the latest odds and betting offers that is.

Real Madrid v Barcelona Betting Tips
As things stand it is Barcelona who sit handsomely atop the table in Spain having won seven and drawn one of their eight matches… all without conceding a single goal. Having warmed up for this one with an easy 3-1 home win over Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday, Luis Enrique’s men will be confident of repeating their successful last league visit to Real in March when they won 4-3.
The home side will, of course, have other ideas. Real have made what, by their standards, has been quite a sloppy start to their La Liga campaign having lost away to Real Sociedad and, unforgivably in the eyes of some of their fans, at home to city rivals and champions Atletico. Still, they’ve won their last eight games in all competitions – including a fairly straightforward-looking 3-0 victory at Anfield over Liverpool on Wednesday evening, and they will certainly be well up for exacting revenge for last season’s defeat by Barca.
In reality, matches between these two great rivals are very difficult to call, but in this instance we are going to with the attacking might of Real Madrid for the reason that they are simply too good to NOT score against Barca, and given the Catalan side are not used to letting goals in, they may not be best equipped to get themselves back into the game if they go behind, as exhibited when losing 3-2 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League recently.
Of course, backing Real outright at odds of 7/5 with Coral is not a bad option, but we have our eyes on a greater prize.
Given Messi, Neymar and maybe Suarez too should feature for the visitors, we can’t see Real keeping a clean sheet either, so our main betting tip for this one is for the home side to win but for both sides to score, which is priced at very nice odds of 14/5 with Coral, double the odds of simply backing the home win.
As mentioned, you can never be 100% sure of the outcome of El Clasico matches, but one bet we are extremely confident about is backing over 2.5 goals to be scored in the match. It might only be priced at 8/15 with BetVictor, but we feel that is the safest bet you will find this weekend, so get on and get paid.
